Why does it need Accessibility and Microphone?
Microphone, to hear you while you hold the key. Accessibility, to notice the key anywhere on the Mac and to type the text into the app you're using. It never reads your screen.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the one-time model download on first launch, dictation needs no connection at all.
Which languages?
English, all accents. The model is English-only by design; that's what makes it this accurate and this fast.
How is it different from Wispr Flow?
Wispr Flow transcribes in the cloud (its own docs say transcription always occurs on the cloud) and is a subscription, $12 to $15 a month. TypeVoice transcribes on your Mac's Neural Engine, so your voice never leaves the machine, it works offline, and you buy it once. Wispr Flow covers 100+ languages; TypeVoice does English only, and does it very well.
What happens after the trial?
Dictation pauses until you buy it, once. A license key arrives by email; paste it into the License tab (or click the link on the thank-you page) and you're back. Everything you dictated stays in Summary.
Is it on the Mac App Store?
No, on purpose. Sold directly, TypeVoice can type straight into the field you're in through Accessibility instead of pasting, and updates ship the moment they're ready. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, like any other Mac app you download.
Is the price the same everywhere?
